How does the process work with revcharge?
We help you decide on the right EV charger and take away the headache of getting it installed. Our unique three step process is as follows:
1. Answer: After you fill out a quote request form, you’ll be sent a text message to complete your request on your smartphone. This will include taking and sending photos of your switchboard, desired charger location and more. All of these questions have been carefully curated to ensure we provide you with a fixed-quote.
2. Choose: Our quotes include a recommended EV charger based on our assessment of your home as well as two alternative EV chargers for you to choose from. All options include the delivery, installation and activation of the EV charger quoted at a fixed price — making it easy for you to choose.We also have an installation only service for homeowners looking to have an existing EV charger installed and activated by a technician.
3. Install: We’ll then send you an invoice for payment. If you ordered your EV charger with revcharge, you will receive it before this date. If you have an existing charger you want installed, just let your technician know when booking your installation. Once the EV charger is in place, the installer can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use it.
We’ll also keep you well-informed throughout the entire process by email and text message, to make it as easy and seamless as possible.
How much do electric vehicle chargers with installation typically cost?
The total cost of an electric vehicle charger with installation usually ranges between $1,200 and $2,500 for most residential setups. The final price depends on factors like the switchboard phase (Single or 3 Phase), property type, distance from the switchboard, and any switchboard or wiring upgrades required.
We provide upfront fixed quotes, so you’ll know exactly what you’re paying before installation.
Do you really help with app and interface activation?
Absolutely. We don’t just install your charger and leave you to figure it out. Where applicable, our installers set up the app, connect your charger to Wi-Fi, and activate all smart features. So you can start monitoring and managing your charging straight away.
What is the difference between a tethered and untethered EV charger?
A tethered charger comes with a fixed charging cable attached. Simply plug it into your car and start charging. An untethered charger uses a detachable Type 2 cable, offering a cleaner look and more flexibility if you have multiple EVs or want to take your cable with you.
What EV charging brands do you typically recommend?
We work with a range of trusted, Australian-approved brands including Tesla, Zappi, Wallbox and Ocular. Each brand has its strengths, from solar-ready smart chargers to simple plug-and-play models and we’ll help you choose the one that best suits your vehicle and setup.
I already have my own charger and just need installation only. What costs are involved?
If you’ve already purchased your charger, installation typically ranges from $750 to $1,200, depending on property type, wiring distance, switchboard capacity, and mounting requirements. You’ll receive a fixed quote upfront, so there are no surprises.
