At Toyota, customers had to wait a long time for a purely electric model but the wait is over with the Toyota bZ4X. At the same time, the unwieldy name also marks the start of a new Toyota sub-brand, under which further electric cars with the abbreviation “bZ” are to appear in future. According to Toyota, “bZ” stands for beyond zero.
With the bZ4X, the manufacturer brings an electric car that was developed in cooperation with Subaru. This is noticeable in terms of off-road capability. Subaru has lent a hand with the all-wheel-drive system and no other brand has more expertise in this area.
Two 80 kW motors work in the four-wheel-drive bZ4X and they are placed on the front and rear axles. Together they create 218 hp and 336 Newton metres of torque. The range with the lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 75 kWh is up to 415 kilometres in the bZ4X according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP).
The compact SUV bZ4X is based on the new e-TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform for electric vehicles developed together with Subaru and requires less space for its drive components than other Toyota models such as the RAV4.
The cockpit of the bZ4X is reminiscent of the i-Cockpit from Peugeot, where the instruments are not behind the steering wheel, but placed right above it. This design allows the installation of a very compact steering wheel that reminds the Tesla Model S.

1. Answer: After you fill out a quote request form, you’ll be sent a text message to complete your request on your smartphone. This will include taking and sending photos of your switchboard, desired charger location and more. All of these questions have been carefully curated to ensure we provide you with a fixed-quote.
2. Choose: Our quotes include a recommended EV charger based on our assessment of your home as well as two alternative EV chargers for you to choose from. All options include the delivery, installation and activation of the EV charger quoted at a fixed price — making it easy for you to choose. We also have an installation only service for homeowners looking to have an existing EV charger installed and activated by a technician.
3. Install: We’ll then send you an invoice for payment. If you ordered your EV charger with revcharge, you will receive it before this date. If you have an existing charger you want installed, just let your technician know when booking your installation. Once the EV charger is in place, the installer can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use it.
