The Tesla Model X, manufactured by Tesla Inc, is an all-wheel drive, full-size electric-powered passenger vehicle. It was unveiled as a design prototype in Los Angeles on February 9, 2012, and has been shipping to customers in Australia since mid-2016. Tesla refers to the Model X as an SUV.
The Model X can accommodate up to seven people in three rows. The second and third rows are accessible through gullwing doors. These are called falcon wings and they are made out of 2 separate parts. The falcon wings have a second hinge above the rear windows, parallel to the main hinge, which means that less lateral space is required when opening. When opened, the upper door parts that also open the roof are vertical and the lower parts which open the sides are horizontal.
Like all Tesla models, the Model X has two storage areas; the rear boot and the frunk (front trunk/boot). The rear luggage compartment has a storage space of 745 litres and if you fold the backseats, you’ll get 1645 litres of free space. The frunk offers a loading volume of 150 litres.
The Model X is the first Tesla model that is optionally available in a vegan version and just like the Model S, the Model X also has a 17-inch touchscreen in the middle that controls all the functions of the vehicle.
Tesla offers the Model X in two variants with multiple battery capacities. In all variants, each axle is driven with a separate electric motor. With the optional “Ludicrous” mode, the P100D version is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and is therefore, alongside the Tesla Model, amongst the fastest accelerating stock vehicles in the world.

Tesla Model X

For the Tesla Model X, the average charge per hour is 40 kms. This is based on a regular home charger at 7kw. The exact range depends on your home electrics, your car’s specifications, your power input (i.e. solar or battery) and the type of charger you choose (e.g. single or three phase).

1. Answer: After you fill out a quote request form, you’ll be sent a text message to complete your request on your smartphone. This will include taking and sending photos of your switchboard, desired charger location and more. All of these questions have been carefully curated to ensure we provide you with a fixed-quote.
2. Choose: Our quotes include a recommended EV charger based on our assessment of your home as well as two alternative EV chargers for you to choose from. All options include the delivery, installation and activation of the EV charger quoted at a fixed price — making it easy for you to choose. We also have an installation only service for homeowners looking to have an existing EV charger installed and activated by a technician.
3. Install: We’ll then send you an invoice for payment. If you ordered your EV charger with revcharge, you will receive it before this date. If you have an existing charger you want installed, just let your technician know when booking your installation. Once the EV charger is in place, the installer can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use it.
We’ll also keep you well-informed throughout the entire process by email and text message, to make it as easy and seamless as possible.
