SSangYong’s new Korando e-Motion is already on sale and it wants to show how economical EVs can actually be. While numerous global corporations build their EVs on dedicated platforms, the electric Korando is a classic conversion to be cost effective.
Visually, the Korando e-Motion differs from the combustion engine model primarily by the closed radiator grill, blue accents and lettering. It also doesn’t have ultra modern operating systems. That may not make much of an impression, but it is very conventional and therefore very easy to use.
SsangYong is convinced that the simplicity and the price is the real strength of their models. Inside however, the new Korando e-Motion does come with digital instruments and a large touchscreen in the middle, which makes it look more modern.
The Korando e-Motion is powered by an electric motor with 140kW (190 hp), which is fed by a battery pack with a capacity of almost 62 kWh (61.5 kWh). The top speed is 154 kilometres per hour and the range is 339 kilometres according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP).
Unlike the combustion engine, the electric Korando is not available with all-wheel-drive for an extra charge. The Korando e-Motion also comes with a towing capacity of 1.5 tons and the electric drive does a good job.
In the new Korando e-Motion, the pleasant silence that is typical of electric vehicles is nowhere to be found. That is mainly because the chassis was not made for an electric drivetrain. However, having an electric vehicle with SsangYong prices is a privilege in itself.

If you want an existing charger installed, just let your technician know when booking an installation date.
Once the EV charger is in place, the technician can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use them.

1. Answer: After you fill out a quote request form, you’ll be sent a text message to complete your request on your smartphone. This will include taking and sending photos of your switchboard, desired charger location and more. All of these questions have been carefully curated to ensure we provide you with a fixed-quote.
2. Choose: Our quotes include a recommended EV charger based on our assessment of your home as well as two alternative EV chargers for you to choose from. All options include the delivery, installation and activation of the EV charger quoted at a fixed price — making it easy for you to choose. We also have an installation only service for homeowners looking to have an existing EV charger installed and activated by a technician.
3. Install: We’ll then send you an invoice for payment. If you ordered your EV charger with revcharge, you will receive it before this date. If you have an existing charger you want installed, just let your technician know when booking your installation. Once the EV charger is in place, the installer can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use it.
