The Renault Megane E-Tech will soon be on the road as an economy class electric vehicle. The e variant of the popular compact model is scheduled to go into series production as early as 2023. It is based on the CMF-EV platform of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. The Common Module Family is a modular vehicle architecture concept jointly developed by those three companies.
As a company, Renault believes that e-cars should be sold through emotions. Nevertheless, this Renaut relies on a powerful electric motor, which comes with an output of 160 kW (217 hp) and a maximum torque of 300 Nm, making it one of the most powerful motors in the Renault portfolio.
The Megane E-Tech draws its energy from a 60 kWh battery which is described as the slimmest battery available on the market. According to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure, a range of 429 kilometres can be achieved with a full charge.
By 2025, the Renault Group plans to launch ten new all-electric models and wants to offer one of the most sustainable model ranges with an e-share of 65 percent. Among the planned new models, the new Renault 5 and an iconic model currently known as the “4ever” already awakens some interest in the electromobility scene and a fully electric Alpine will follow in 2024.
Up to 90 percent of all Renault models sold will have a fully electric drive by 2030. At least that’s what the company is promising for now. Renault Group wants to position itself as a key player on the way to affordable electromobility and the Megane E-Tech will play an important role in this.

1. Answer: After you fill out a quote request form, you’ll be sent a text message to complete your request on your smartphone. This will include taking and sending photos of your switchboard, desired charger location and more. All of these questions have been carefully curated to ensure we provide you with a fixed-quote.
2. Choose: Our quotes include a recommended EV charger based on our assessment of your home as well as two alternative EV chargers for you to choose from. All options include the delivery, installation and activation of the EV charger quoted at a fixed price — making it easy for you to choose. We also have an installation only service for homeowners looking to have an existing EV charger installed and activated by a technician.
3. Install: We’ll then send you an invoice for payment. If you ordered your EV charger with revcharge, you will receive it before this date. If you have an existing charger you want installed, just let your technician know when booking your installation. Once the EV charger is in place, the installer can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use it.
