The MX-30 is Mazda’s first entry into the world of electric cars. It uses the MX-30 name but it has nothing to do with Mazda’s legendary roadster, the MX-5. Technically, the MX-30 is closely related to the Mazda 3 and the CX-30.
Although the new Mazda MX-30 is on a specially developed platform, it does not take part in the range hunt. The small SUV is rather reserved with a 35.5 kWh lithium-ion battery and a range of just over 230 kilometres. The electric motor on the front axle has an output of 105 kW / 145 hp.
The MX-30 has been on the market in Australia since early 2021 and there are four different equipment levels to choose from. Mazda also has a version of the MX-30 with a range extender up its sleeve for those who want more. It utilises a compact Wankel engine that sits next to the electric motor in the front end and drives a generator.
The Wankel engine in the long range version supplies the batteries with power and significantly increases the range. However, this concept had not really caught on worldwide when the BMW i3 and Audi A1 tried it.
In the interior, vegan materials are used wherever possible, and even the console trim applications are made from recycled wine corks. The suicide (opposing) doors swing wide open up to an angle of 82 degrees at the front and 80 degrees at the back. The boot is also large enough to transport up to four pieces of hand luggage.

1. Answer: After you fill out a quote request form, you’ll be sent a text message to complete your request on your smartphone. This will include taking and sending photos of your switchboard, desired charger location and more. All of these questions have been carefully curated to ensure we provide you with a fixed-quote.
2. Choose: Our quotes include a recommended EV charger based on our assessment of your home as well as two alternative EV chargers for you to choose from. All options include the delivery, installation and activation of the EV charger quoted at a fixed price — making it easy for you to choose. We also have an installation only service for homeowners looking to have an existing EV charger installed and activated by a technician.
3. Install: We’ll then send you an invoice for payment. If you ordered your EV charger with revcharge, you will receive it before this date. If you have an existing charger you want installed, just let your technician know when booking your installation. Once the EV charger is in place, the installer can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use it.
