Lexus UX 300e is the first fully electric vehicle offered by the Japanese premium brand Lexus. It comes with a 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor that drives the front wheels and the energy is supplied by a newly developed 54.3 kWh battery under the vehicle floor. It enables a range of up to 315 kilometres according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP).
Lexus 300e looks just like the combustion versions of the UX family and telling them apart is not that easy. Look for the “Electric” lettering on the side and two charging covers at the back left and right side.
The UX 300e rides on specially developed 17 or 18 inch wheels with an aerodynamically optimised design. The lower intake has aerodynamic flaps that open and close automatically, depending on the need for cooling air. With the flaps closed, the drag coefficient drops to 0.31. An enlarged underbody cover and the smooth underside of the battery also improve aerodynamics.
The battery is air-cooled, and Lexus says that it is safer and lighter than water-cooled systems while allowing for easy interior climate control. Each individual battery module also has a heating element.
Lexus UX 300e also comes with an optional sound generator called the Active Sound Control (ASC), which emits an acceleration-dependent engine sound into the cockpit via the central speaker. The function can be deactivated at any time by pressing a button.

2. Choose: Our quotes include a recommended EV charger based on our assessment of your home as well as two alternative EV chargers for you to choose from. All options include the delivery, installation and activation of the EV charger quoted at a fixed price — making it easy for you to choose. We also have an installation only service for homeowners looking to have an existing EV charger installed and activated by a technician.
3. Install: We’ll then send you an invoice for payment. If you ordered your EV charger with revcharge, you will receive it before this date. If you have an existing charger you want installed, just let your technician know when booking your installation. Once the EV charger is in place, the installer can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use it.
