As early as 2013, Ford made a first, but unfortunately unsuccessful attempt in the field of electromobility with the Focus Electric. It then took a whole eight years before Ford dared a new, much more promising attempt.
The recipe for success seems a bit strange at first glance. Ford is actually presenting a mid-range electric SUV this time around and calling it the Mustang like the legendary sports car icon from the USA, traditionally with a thick V8 under the hood.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E is obviously intended to continue the success story of its namesake muscle car. It comes with rear-wheel drive, 216 kW (294 hp) of power, and an enormous range of 610 kilometres according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP).
Despite the high vehicle weight of 2.1 tons, the driving performance is more than impressive. The official sprint from zero to 100 km/h is 7.0 seconds and the top speed is 180 km/h.
The Mach-E comes with a 99 kWh battery and the navigation system knows where the nearest electric charging station should be. This Mustang can then charge with an output of up to 150 kW at high-speed charging stations.
The cockpit of the new Ford Mustang Mach-E is dominated by the two displays while appearing very reduced and tidy. The 15.5-inch, vertically arranged central display is reminiscent of the EV pioneer Tesla. The oversized volume control integrated into the touchscreen is a unique feature.

1. Answer: After you fill out a quote request form, you’ll be sent a text message to complete your request on your smartphone. This will include taking and sending photos of your switchboard, desired charger location and more. All of these questions have been carefully curated to ensure we provide you with a fixed-quote.
2. Choose: Our quotes include a recommended EV charger based on our assessment of your home as well as two alternative EV chargers for you to choose from. All options include the delivery, installation and activation of the EV charger quoted at a fixed price — making it easy for you to choose. We also have an installation only service for homeowners looking to have an existing EV charger installed and activated by a technician.
3. Install: We’ll then send you an invoice for payment. If you ordered your EV charger with revcharge, you will receive it before this date. If you have an existing charger you want installed, just let your technician know when booking your installation. Once the EV charger is in place, the installer can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use it.
