Cupra
The Cupra Born is named after the “El Born” district in Barcelona, Spain and it is the first purely electric vehicle designed by the Spanish car manufacturer Cupra. The prototype was first unveiled under the name Seat el-Born Concept at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
The Cupra Born was already available to order in September 2021 and in November of the same year, Cupra started delivering the first units. In the middle of 2022, the Cupra Born was tested for vehicle safety by Euro NCAP for the first time and received five stars out of a possible five.
From a technical point of view, the Cupra Born is identical to its sibling model, the Volkswagen ID.3, which is also based on Volkswagen’s Modular Electric Drive system (MEB). The interior is mostly made out of recycled materials so Cupra is serious about environmental protection.
Cupra offers Born in two performance versions with three different battery sizes, but only with one drive option, rear-wheel-drive. The range of the basic model with a battery capacity of 55kWh and 110kW (150 hp) engine is 349 kilometres measured according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). With the 62kWh version, the Born can achieve 424 kilometres of range.
The DC charging power of the basic version is designed for a maximum of 50kW, as announced at the world premiere. It takes approximately 42 minutes to charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent. In 2021, the first year of production Cupra managed to manufacture almost 5000 units. 4801 Cupra Born were produced to be exact and that’s a big achievement for a new model.

If you want an existing charger installed, just let your technician know when booking an installation date.
Once the EV charger is in place, the technician can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use them.

How does the process work with revcharge?
We help you decide on the right EV charger and take away the headache of getting it installed. Our unique three step process is as follows:
1. Answer: After you fill out a quote request form, you’ll be sent a text message to complete your request on your smartphone. This will include taking and sending photos of your switchboard, desired charger location and more. All of these questions have been carefully curated to ensure we provide you with a fixed-quote.
2. Choose: Our quotes include a recommended EV charger based on our assessment of your home as well as two alternative EV chargers for you to choose from. All options include the delivery, installation and activation of the EV charger quoted at a fixed price — making it easy for you to choose. We also have an installation only service for homeowners looking to have an existing EV charger installed and activated by a technician.
3. Install: We’ll then send you an invoice for payment. If you ordered your EV charger with revcharge, you will receive it before this date. If you have an existing charger you want installed, just let your technician know when booking your installation. Once the EV charger is in place, the installer can also help you connect any apps for the charger and show you how to use it.
